This itinerary of the Portuguese Way will allow you to become familiar with this route, in only 5 days you can complete this stretch.

How many days are necessary to complete the Portuguese Way?

Depending on the starting point of your itinerary you will need more or fewer days so that you can have an idea if you wish to complete the Camino Portugues from Lisboa you would need 28 days taking into account the travelling time from your country. Keep in mind that you can start the Portuguese Way tour with Galician Roots from different points of the route.

How many stages does the Portuguese Way have?

To complete the full Portuguese Way from Lisboa on foot you would need 26 stages/days. What is the difference with the Coastal Portuguese Way (Camino Portugues por la costa)?

There is another route of the Portuguese Way called the Camino Portugues por la costa / Coastal Camino Portugues and as its name suggests this route goes along the coast of Portugal, it starts in Porto and merges with the Camino Portugues of the interior in Redondela. This variant passes by the Portuguese litoral through places such as Povoa de Varzim, Viana do Castelo and Baiona. This quiet itinerary is perfect if you want to walk by beaches and cliffs and it is the perfect match if you wish to complete an easy trail with low difficulty.
